In a world where video rules, podcasts expand our ability to imagine and visualize. Podcasts on almost any topic – politics to cooking – can be found on the airwaves. Hibiki listened to some good – and some not so good – podcasts to compile this list. Enjoy! Elementary School

2. Mars Patel Podcast

The gripping mystery, sci-fi excitement, and excellent young voice cast of this award-winning series will keep your kids riveted to the speakers from start to finish. The Mysterious Disappearance of Mars Patel is full of positive messages for young children.

1. The Radio Adventures of Dr.Floyd

The Radio Adventures of Dr. Floyd is the internet’s longest-running, professionally produced, and family-friendly podcast based on history. All eight seasons can be downloaded for free.

2. Eleanor Amplified

Eleanor Amplified is an adventure series for the whole family. Listen together as our hero, the world-famous radio reporter Eleanor Amplified foils devious plots and outwits crafty villains, all in pursuit of the big story.

3. Covid-19 Update with Neil deGrasse Tyson

Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about all things space: stars, planets, humans in space, and so much more. He also interviews a lot of amazing people, from Buzz Aldrin to Alan Rickman.

High School

1. 60-Second Health

A professional podcast by Scientific American that teaches a lot about personal health.

7. This I Believe Podcast

A weekly podcast of selections from award-winning American public radio series. Each week a different person reads an essay written about their most deeply held beliefs. Since its debut, the series has featured essays by Muhammad Ali, Bill Gates, Gloria Steinem, Tony Hawk, Yo-Yo Ma, and many everyday citizens.

8. The History of Rome

A weekly podcast that traces the history of the Roman Empire, beginning with Aeneas’s arrival in Italy and ending with the exile of Romulus Augustulus, last Emperor of the Western Roman Empire.
