In what may have been the last time they got together as a group, IISJ’s Class of 2020 danced, ate, and celebrated at their annual year end Farewell Party last month. The theme was “Dancing in the Moonlight.”

“We wanted a gala-themed party where everyone dressed up as though they were on a red carpet, dancing in the dark, ” said Darshan Shivakumar, one of the organizers. Held in the school gymnasium on February 14th, the annual extravaganza is organized and funded by the 11th graders.

DJ Tabby, aka Hirotaka Yabuki, took charge of the music. Decorated on one side of the gym was a gigantic poster board that displayed candid pictures of the seniors, many of them from their kindergarten days at IISJ. Other highlights included a photo-taking booth, food, and a piñata.

“You guys did an amazing job, it was so well organized, and we loved everything about the night,” said one senior who asked to remain anonymous. 

The Planning Committee included Amisha Rajput, Anika Radhakrishnan, Ananya Phatak, Abhiram Oggu, Biina Pun Magar, Darshan Shivakumar, Chinmay Kulkarni, Aditya Sundar, Elisha Fernandes, Hyojoo Kim,  Harleen Kaur, Irene Rajan, Kazuyuki Nakamura, Lucy Lin, Miraclin Gladys, Muskan Shrestha, Priya Mukkundi, Roshan Shrestha, and Vachanna Mummigatti.
