If you need a break from the monotony of the pandemic, watch Jungle Cruise. It’s the 3D adventure of a lifetime as an all-star cast journey to the depths of the Amazon in search of the elusive “Tree of Life.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a skipper who gives tours of the Amazon to tourists. One day, he’s approached by Dr. Lily Houghton, played by Emily Blunt, to lead an expedition into the deep jungles of the Amazon to find the “ Tree of Life.” The tree has magical healing powers and can revolutionize the field of medicine.

While actually filmed in Hawaii, Jungle Cruise takes viewers on a harrowing trip down the Amazon as the Rock and company are chased by Spanish conquistadors and the German Royal Prince Joachim during their hunt.

I loved this movie and cannot recommend it enough. It was filled with puns and jokes, and there were scenes where I couldn’t stop laughing. I was on the edge of my seat throughout and I had no idea how it was going to end. It was also really cool to see the captivating and stunning cinematography.

Jungle Cruise was released in July during the pandemic, but it still went on to become a summer blockbuster and earned more than $200 million worldwide at the box office. You can watch it at the theaters or on Disney+ with Premier Access.
