Build Your Resume with Internships, Volunteer Opportunities


Want to pump up your resume, learn new skills, hone existing ones, earn some money, or help people in need? Instead of sitting at home this summer, take charge of your free time and intern or volunteer. The experience will help you develop skills in leadership, problem-solving, and time management. Apply what you learned in the classroom to the real world.

Hands On Tokyo aims to provide “meaningful bilingual volunteer opportunities to foster volunteerism and develop leaders to serve the needs of our community.”

TELL counseling is a program “dedicated to providing effective support and counseling services to Japan’s international community and its increasing mental health needs.”

Tokyo Voluntary Action Center or TVCA offers over 1,000 volunteer activities, divided by Japanese language ability. is looking for interns and volunteers. 

Microsoft, IBM, Amazon Japan, and many others provide internship/workshop opportunities for high school students and graduates. Check out their websites for the latest information.
